Published on Apr 9, 2017 03. April 2017, Zurich: A delegation of indigenous women from WOMEN'S EARTH AND CLIMATE ACTION NETWORK visited Switzerland in the beginning of the week. Their mission: to make Credit Suisse withdraw from the financing of the Dakota Access Oil pipeline and the companies behind the project. In the video, the women tell of their tireless struggle for respect of their rights, clean drinking water and the climate crisis.

Zürich: Eine Delegation indigener Frauen von WOMEN'S EARTH AND CLIMATE ACTION NETWORK hat Anfangs Woche die Schweiz besucht. Ihre Mission: Die Credit Suisse dazu bewegen, dass sie sich endlich aus der Finanzierung der Dakota Access Öl-Pipeline bzw. der Firmen hinter dem Projekt zurückzieht. Im Video erzählen die Frauen von ihrem unermüdlichen Kampf für die Respektierung ihrer Rechte, für sauberes Trinkwasser und gegen die Klimakrise.

Delegation members included Dr. Sarah Jumping Eagle (Oglala Lakota and Mdewakantonwan Dakota living and working on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation); Wasté Win Young (Ihunktowanna/Hunkpapa of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, Former Tribal Historic Preservation Officer); Tara Houska (Anishinaabe, tribal attorney, National Campaigns Director of Honor the Earth, and former advisor on Native American affairs to Bernie Sanders); Autumn Star Chacon (Diné/Navajo Water Protector); and Michelle Cook (Diné/Navajo, human rights lawyer and a founding member of the of the Water Protector Legal Collective at Standing Rock).
